The most basic law of physical activity is the principle of overload which states that the only way to produce fitness and health benefits through physical activity is to require your body to do more than it normally does. Increased demand on your body- overload – forces it to adapt. You will learn about the principle of overload in this microlesson, and how it can help you with your workouts.

Pushing Your Limits
The Principle of Overload states that the only way to produce fitness and health benefits is by making your body do more than it normally does.
