A Look at Careers
Introduction to Business and Technology is the gateway course in
two career clusters:
Finance and Business Management, and Administration.In an effort to make the academic material you learn more relevant, 16 Career Clusters were created nationally to help students be more successful and to better prepare for college. Within these career clusters are career pathways that offer more specific training and the opportunity for students to earn nationally recognized credentials in a career field. Each career pathway consists of three sequenced courses. This course, Introduction to Business and Technology, is the gateway course in two career clusters: Finance and Business Management and Administration. Within the Finance Career Cluster there are three career pathways: Advanced Accounting, Business Accounting, and Financial Services. Within the Business Management and Administration Cluster there are also three career pathways: Business and Technology, Entrepreneurship, and Human Resource Management. If these titles sound a bit familiar to you, they should! This course has served to introduce you to the courses that will follow, no matter which pathway you choose.
