Module Minute

You've got that degree and an offer of a job and you are celebrating the fact that school is over for you, right?  Not if you want to turn that job into a career.  Not if you want to advance in that career.  Most jobs require that you have certain educational experiences each year that will help you become better at your job or train you for a new one.  This is called professional development.  Professional development should be approached as an opportunity to gain a competitive edge over other employees.  The employee that shows a willingness and eagerness to grow professionally will be more likely to be considered for promotions and raises.  This is a personal benefit to your professional development.
