Pyramus and Thisbe: What Happens Next?
At this point, let's take a moment to reflect on what has happened in the first three sections of the story and what may come next.
Pyramus and Thisbe are two young Babylonians, madly in love with each other, despite their parents' hatred. They secretly met by speaking through a crack in a wall, and their love grew, to the point where they knew they must meet in person. The meeting established, Thisbe reaches the garden first, only to find a lioness, who scares her away. Pyramus comes later and finds only the animal tracks and Thisbe's bloody veil. Pyramus takes excessive action, stabbing himself, since he believes Thisbe is dead.
So, how will this tale end?
