Respond to the discussion below. Answer all parts. Respond to two other students' responses.
Work and Energy are words that are used very broadly in everyday life. Do a little research into what energy is in a scientific sense.
- How is the common usage of the term work different from the physics definition of work?
- Take a time that you have been at a job doing work (if you haven't had a job then think of a time you volunteered and help do work). Explain how the work you did relates to the scientific definition of work. Remember to be specific as to the object you did work on.
- Think of a time you did a job but didn't actually do work. You were using energy. What is one thing you did work on during this time.
