Object Editor
An object editor provides functionality like that of an online editor in that it allows the user to expand and collapse HTML objects and properties, edit parameters, and view graphics attached to expanded objects.
GUI Editor Features
GUI editors include many features that can be accessed while constructing web pages. The table below details a few of the common features used by web designers.

Templates | Preformatted documents containing design, layout, and styles that can be used to construct a web page. |
Wizards | Help feature that provides step-by-step instructions. |
Icon Bars | Identifiable graphics that permit access to features that can be accessed from a text-based menu. |
Hypertext Links | Links that provide navigation to pages and files within and outside the website. |
Table Creation | Rows and columns that include data to detail content. |
Spell Checker | Checks the spelling and/or syntax of words and code. |
Import HTML Pages | Ability to access HTML pages from the World Wide Web and upload to the designer's website or local file system. |
Images | Upload images to a web page. |
Text-style Options | Manipulate text size, type and other attributes to enhance content. |
Publishing Options | Ability to upload HTML documents to a web server. |
