Did you know...

Adults who are physically active are healthier and less likely to develop many chronic diseases than adults who are inactive. They also have better fitness, including a healthier body and composition. In this microlesson, we will learn about physical activity recommendations and benefits for most men and women aged 18 to 64 years beyond baseline activity (the usual light or sedentary activities of daily living).

Reflection...

As you get older, remember that “some exercise is better than none”. If you take a break from exercise, remember to begin with light or moderate intensity for short periods of time, with the sessions spread throughout the week. As an adult, your goal should be to do 150 minutes of physical activity a week. There are many ways to stay active as an adult, and the health benefits are numerous.
