Late Work @ GaVS

You can read a detailed explanation of the Late Work Policy @ GaVS. The important information to keep in mind is that in the fall and spring semesters, late work is assessed a 10% penalty per calendar day. A calendar day includes Saturday and Sunday and holidays. In the summer semester, late work is assessed a 20% penalty per calendar day. Again, a calendar day includes Saturday and Sunday and holidays.

What if I get behind on turning in my assignments?

Contact your teacher. You can request a pace plan adjustment from your teacher, and the details of how a pace plan adjustment works will be explained by your teacher. This request can only be made once, and please do not think that a pace plan adjustment is a "reset." A pace plan adjustment is not an opportunity to go back and resubmit work previously submitted.

Reach out to your teacher for more information about a pace plan adjustment. Of course, the easiest, least stressful approach is to stick to your pace plan (calendar) and to turn assignments in when they are due.
