Assignments, Quizzes & Tests
Submitting Graded Work
There are three types of work assigned: Quizzes/Tests, Discussions, and Assignments. All required work should be submitted on or before the date that it is due. The late penalty for assignments is 10% per day (Fall/Spring) and 20% per day (Summer), counting weekend days.
Important Note
You must access your assignments, quizzes, and tests from the Modules in your course. This will ensure that you don't have any problems opening the assignment. Do not access assignments from your grades - you will encounter problems.
Assignments
Assignments are documents, videos, slides, images, or other files that you submit for your teacher to grade. The Assignment instructions will indicate the type of file to submit, or you can ask your teacher.
Students are expected to submit assignments in a readable format the first time; technical difficulties are not an excuse for late work. Review the graphic below to ensure that you are submitting an acceptable file type. You do not want a zero for unreadable work.
See the FAQs page at the end of this Getting Started module for more information on acceptable file types and/or converting documents for submission.
