LMA: Self-assessment dictée
Self-assessment Dictée
For this activity, you are going to complete a dictée. A dictée is when someone reads a text aloud and another person transcribes or writes it down. Think of the English terms to dictate or a dictation. Dictées are popular activities for students as well as the general public. There is even a national dictée contest each year in which people of all ages participate.
Instructions: Get something to write with or open a new document. You will listen to the audio file below several times to write down what is said. You will hear the text once at a regular speed and once slowly. This is a challenging activity, but a great way to improve your listening and spelling skills! Pay close attention to verb endings!
