LMA: Practice dictée
Dictée
For this activity, you are going to complete a dictée. A dictée is when someone reads a text aloud and another person transcribes or writes it down. Think of the English terms to dictate or a dictation. Dictées are popular activities for students as well as the general public. There is even a national dictée contest each year in which people of all ages participate.
Instructions: Get something to write with or open a new document. You will listen to the audio file several times to write down what is said.
This is a challenging activity, but a great way to improve your listening and spelling skills! Pay close attention to verb endings!
After trying your best, download the practice dictée document below. You can check your answers by completing the practice dictée self-assessment exercise (SAE) for this module found in the quizzes list for this course. This practice dictée does NOT count in your overall French course grade.
