Le futur proche

You now know how to conjugate -er verbs, -re verbs, and -ir verbs in the present tense. You also know a few irregular verbs, like aller, faire, avoir and être.

Now you can learn how to talk about things that take place in the future—what we are going to do. Just as in English, French uses the the verb to go to express future activities.

Study the examples below of how the immediate future (futur proche) verb tense is constructed in French.
