Introduction
In this module we will explore the topic of contemporary life. You will listen to and read a number of dialogues and conversations in French to enrich your French vocabulary. You will also learn about:
- identifying features of and describing cities,
- the expression il y a,
- review of contractions with à,
- the verb aller,
- making questions with est-ce que,
- making questions using inversion,
- the immediate future verb tense (futur proche),
- talking about what we eat and where,
- the numbers 21-2000,
- money terms in France and other francophone countries,
- regional customs and traditions in regards to food,
- the imperative tense (commands),
- accepting and declining invitations,
- the modal verbs devoir, pouvoir and vouloir
- the verb prendre, and
- organizing a party, and
- writing a dictée.
