Values that can be used to describe the center of a set of data are mean, median, and mode.

Mean: The average value for the data. The sum of all the items divided by the number of items in the set. Median: The middle value when the data are in numerical order, or the mean of the two middle values if there are an even number of items. Mode: The value or values that occur most often in a data set. There can be more than one mode, or no mode.
