Rational Exponents

Exponent Rules: For a ≠ 0, b ≠ 0
Product Rule	$LaTeX: a^x\times a^y=a^{x+y}$ $a^x\times a^y=a^{x+y}$
Quotient Rule	$LaTeX: a^x\div a^y=a^{x-y}$ $a^x\div a^y=a^{x-y}$
Power Rule	$LaTeX: \left(a^x\right)^y=a^{xy}$ $\left(a^x\right)^y=a^{xy}$
Power of a Product Rule	$LaTeX: \left(ab\right)^x=a^xb^x$ $\left(ab\right)^x=a^xb^x$
Power of a Fraction Rule	$LaTeX: \left(\frac{a}{b}\right)^x=\frac{a^x}{b^x}$ $\left(\frac{a}{b}\right)^x=\frac{a^x}{b^x}$
Zero Exponent	$a^0=1$
Negative Exponent	$LaTeX: a^{-x}=\frac{1}{a^x}$ $a^{-x}=\frac{1}{a^x}$
Fractional Exponent	$LaTeX: a^{\frac{x}{y}}=\sqrt[y]{a^x}$ $a^{\frac{x}{y}}=\sqrt[y]{a^x}$
