Constructions

image of a construction: a circle (desk) divided into four quadrants with four people working on computers (view from overhead)Constructing figures in Geometry consists of creating given shapes or lines accurately and precisely using only a straightedge, a compass, and a writing utensil. Before we begin our exploration of constructions, you'll need to grab a compass (the mathematical kind, not the directional kind!), a ruler, a pencil, and some paper to follow along with each video on the following pages. Make sure to master each construction prior to moving on to the next one.
