Day 12: What is a Coordinate System?
Coordinate System
Introduction
In this unit, you will learn how coordinate systems work, how they help to organize information, how they help you to understand mapping systems, how to represent numerical patterns on a coordinate plane and what relationships can be determined by analyzing two sets of given rules.
Today, we will begin our journey of understanding what a coordinate system is and its many parts. Begin by watching the video about the coordinate plane. You will print out the notes page, glue the notes into your math journal, and label and define all of the terms as in the video.
