In this unit, you will learn how to add and subtract fractions with unlike denominators, including mixed mixed numbers, with the use of models and real world situations.

Today, you will review equivalent fractions - how to identify them using models and find them mathematically. 

Before we begin, look at the following models and identify all the figures that have one-half shaded. Record them in your journal.
