Introduction

In this lesson, you will learn the difference between an equation and an expression. In addition, you will learn how to write an expression and an equation using real-world examples.

Yesterday, we reviewed how to evaluate numerical expressions with multiple symbols. Over the next two days, we will be doing a study of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. We will use the knowledge from prior lessons and explore writing expressions and equations as well as simplifying expressions using points earned at Hogwarts.
