Do you consider yourself a leader? Believe it or not, you are! There are individuals, young and old, watching how you handle situations and respond to circumstances. Student organizations like FBLA, SkillsUSA, and TSA are great options for students to connect and network with students and business leaders to exchange ideas and share tips on career development.
You will discover how Career and Technical Student Organizations can assist in developing and enhancing your leadership skills through service opportunities, competitive events, and leadership workshops.

Service Opportunities: Explore service opportunities available for members through FBLA. There are many ways to be involved in your community.
FBLA Competitive Events: FBLA provides an excellent opportunity for students to participate in academic, business, and computer science related competitions. Students can compete individually, in teams, or as a chapter. Explore this microlesson to find out how you can be involved in FBLA competitions.
TSA Competitive Events: TSA is a student organization for students interested in technical careers. Students interested in engineering and computer science can be involved and compete. Explore this microlesson to find out how you can be involved in TSA.
SkillsUSA Competitive Events: SkillsUSA is an organization for students in skilled occupations, such as Graphic Design, Construction, Automotive, Criminal Justice, Welding, etc. Students interested in these careers enjoy being involved in and competing in SkillsUSA. Benefactor | An individual who gives money or other help to a person or cause.
For-profit organization | An organization that operates to make a profit.
In-kind services | Donations of goods and/or services.
Networking | Interacting with other people to exchange information and develop contacts to further one's career.
Non-profit organization | An agency and/or organization that furthers a social cause or advocates a view.
Selfless service | A service that is performed without any expectation of result or reward for performing it.
Servant leader | Focuses primarily on the growth and well-being of individuals and the communities to which they belong.
Service learner | Teaching and learning strategy that integrates community service with instruction and reflection to enrich a learning experience.
