    •  every person should prepare for a useful occupation and carry on that occupation in a manner that brings the greatest good to the greatest number.
    • every person should actively work toward improving social, political, community, and family life.
    • every person has the right to earn a living in a useful occupation.
    • every person should take responsibility for carrying out assigned tasks in a manner that brings credit to self, associates, school, and community.
    • I have the responsibility to work efficiently and to think clearly. I promise to use my abilities to make the world a better place for everyone.

The FBLA motto is Service, Education, and Progress. To advance that motto, many of the opportunities FBLA members participate in incorporate one, two, or all three of those values. It is important for FBLA members to participate in community service projects, school service projects, and other service projects to help members learn the importance of participating in community service throughout their lives to give back to their communities and help others. Through the integration of classroom instruction and CTSO involvement, students fulfill the value of education, by learning how business and education work together. Lastly, the value of progress allows students to grow and participate in professional development. Students work to innovate and develop themselves and their entrepreneurial spirit through a variety of projects and activities both inside and outside the classroom.
