PO3 - Lesson: Poetry Until 1800

Learning some basic ideas about literary history will help provide a better context for understanding a poem.Poetry Until 1800

History Review

The most important part of the AP English Exam is for students to show a thematic understanding of literature. However, learning some basic ideas about literary history will help provide a better context for understanding the poem or at least an understanding of what to look for in the poem. Because we tend to remember better with visual images, we will be using art from the period as a means for better understanding specific poetry written during the time period.
