OAS_What is the History of Oceanography? Lesson
Isn't it incredible how oceanography is like a time machine that takes you on a journey through the vast unknowns of the deep blue sea? Can you imagine seeing the ocean for the first time and not knowing what it was? The story began thousands of years ago when early seafarers hopped onto rafts, becoming the first-ever oceanographers. They looked around, saw the waves, tides, and currents that carried their rafts, and probably tried to drink the water - which was not a good idea.

Pretty cool, huh? But Why Do We Care?
The story of oceanography is a testament to human curiosity and ingenuity, revealing the mysteries of the deep and the vital role oceans play in shaping our planet's climate and geology. As we continue to explore "inner space," the future promises even more exciting discoveries in this fascinating field. But why do we care about exploring the depths of the ocean?
