Using ser to Describe Clothing
In this module, we will once again review uses of the verb SER. We will use the verb SER to describe clothing items.
For example:
- Los vaqueros de mi madre son cómodos.
- My mom’s jeans are confortable.
- Esta bolsa es cara.
- This purse is expensive.

- La chaqueta de mi abuela es elegante. - My grandma’s coat is fancy.
- Mis sandalias son cómodas. - My sandals are comfortable.
- Tus deportivas son muy incómodas. - Your sneakers are uncomfortable.
- La gorra gris es barata. - The grey cap is cheap.
- Mi cartera es cara. - My wallet is expensive.
- La falda amarilla es corta. - The yellow skirt is short.
- Las camisas rojas son mis favoritas. - The red shirts are my favorites.
- The following example will apply with all colors. We will use pink as an example.
- ¿De qué color es la bufanda de tu hermana? - What color is your sister’s scarf?
- La bufanda de mi hermana es rosada. - My sister’s scarf is pink.
