Lección de repaso - Los números
Learning a new language can be a challenging and time-consuming process, but with the right tools and techniques, it is possible to achieve fluency and speak like a native. One powerful tool that can help language learners to make rapid progress is repetition.
Repetition
Repetition is the act of repeating something, whether it be a word, phrase, lesson, or concept in order to reinforce it in the mind. When it comes to language learning, repetition can be a highly effective way to improve pronunciation, build vocabulary, and increase fluency.
What to Expect?
In this course, we will provide lecciones de repaso – review lessons, which can be used as lessons for repetition. We will also provide tips and strategies for incorporating repetition into your Spanish language learning routine. By the end of this course, you will have a better understanding of the power of repetition when learning a second language.
Los números - Basic Information
Spanish numbers are based on Arabic numerals (0-9), just as in English. Therefore, although they have some differences from English, like gender, they are relatively easy to learn.
The Arabic numerical system, incidentally, was introduced to Europe by Spanish and Portuguese Jesuits (monks who belonged to a branch of the Catholic church).
Numbers are a great place to start vocabulary review. They come up in conversation often, and it is easy to get the hang of them.
The resources on this page will help you review how to write the cardinal numbers in Spanish and, more importantly, how to use them correctly.
Video Lesson
The following video will show you plenty of numbers and example sentences, followed by a practice activity.
Don’t worry, for this course you are responsible for learning how to write numbers from zero to thirty. You can stop this video once you get to number thirty and repeat as many times as you need to help with spelling and pronunciation. However, feel free to go past thirty and test your knowledge!
Feel free to press pause and repeat and take notes.
Number Review
Let's take a look at the Spanish numbers you need to know altogether. Along with learning to spell each number, take time to practice reading these numbers out loud. This is a great place to practice your new pronunciation skills! Can you say all thirty numbers smoothly?
