PCC - Sound (Lesson)
Sound
First Impressions
The rustling of leaves in the fall, the call of a robin, music, voice, barking, and more create sounds. All of these are part of the sounds around us. Sound provides a unique addition to our world. Sound in a movie allows for anticipation of what is to come, assists in gluing us to our seats in a thrilling moment, and causes us to sometimes shed a tear.
Silent movies did not have sound and so far our Alice projects have not requested the use of sound. As we continue forward in the world of digital technology and computer science, sounds can be added for texture and interest.
In order for you to use sound in Alice, you must import the sound. Alice has some sound clips available for use and other free sound clips are available. Sound clips may also be made with digital music software, using various computer science coding languages. Yes, you can actually create music using code.

The Alice Sound video will provide great information on sound, sound loudness, and sound length including the two methods of loading sound into Alice.
So what should we do if the sound clip is to short and we want it to play longer? Loop it!!!
