This lesson marks the conclusion of our slideshow/notes lessons, but it continues the discussions we’ve had previously about tensions between the United States and the Soviet Union, specifically with technology.

  In your journal:  Print the notes page and complete it as you go through the slides. If you do not have access to a printer, another option is to draw/write your notes page in your social studies journal.

This time period is known as the foundational basis to the development of technology that exists today. Although technology looks and functions quite differently than in the 1960s, the innovative ideas began over a half century ago!
