Civil Rights Leaders
Hello, Students!
Up until this point we have learned about some very important figures during the Civil Rights Movement. Some of those important people are:
- Rosa Parks
- Martin Luther King, Jr.
- John F. Kennedy
- Lyndon B. Johnson
- Robert F. Kennedy
- Oliver Brown
- Thurgood Marshall
- Ruby Bridges (we didn’t talk about her, but she’s pretty amazing)
For the next few lessons, you will choose a Civil Rights figure to research. Using what you have learned here as well as what you research, you will create a slideshow about your selected person. Your presentation should include a biography as well as key contributions he/she made towards the Civil Rights Movement. You may look at the rubric for information to include as well as a graphic organizer below
Assignment
