Introduction
At the end of World War II, Eleanor Roosevelt was viewed as an impactful world leader.

How did the war change America’s role in the world?
How were other countries affected by the aftermath of World War II?
The United Nations
During WWII, Allied leaders wanted to create an international group to help keep the peace in the future. The United Nations would be different from the League of Nations in that its members would have to agree to provide military forces, if needed, to enforce peacekeeping decisions.
In your journal: Print the notes page and complete it as you go through the slides. If you do not have access to a printer, another option is to draw/write your notes page in your social studies journal.
