Rationing on the Homefront

During World War II, the Americans that were left at home to tend to family matters and keep the homelife afloat were also met with challenges. Some of these challenges consisted of trying to feed their family with a limited amount of money and rationing stamps. Rationing stamps were used during World War II to try and help the shortage on production of goods and services as well as useful resources like metal used to create the cans a lot of the food would come in.

Today, you are going to complete a rationing activity where you are given a certain amount of money and rationing stamps. You will then have to use these and the price of groceries to try and plan a week’s worth of dinners for your family of three.
