Lesson 13: Big Business and the Government
Introduction
For our last instructional lesson of this unit, we will take a look at goods, services, and taxes.
Focus Questions:
How does the government provide services to its citizens?
Goods and Services
Businesses are able to pay people to make the goods and/or services they provide by selling their goods or services to consumers and using that money to pay their workers.
Some jobs like teachers, military, and even the president are all jobs paid for with taxes by the government.
In your journal: Print the notes page and complete it as you go through the slides. If you do not have access to a printer, another option is to draw/write your notes page in your social studies journal.
