Introduction

One way to make sure readers understand whether questions are explicit (right there in the text) or inferential (add information from the text with your schema) is QAR.

On the QAR Activity document, complete the following:

  1. Insert text boxes to type your questions that you created yesterday in your journal.
  2. Highlight your answers in the text. Use the following colors:
      • Green: Right There
      • Yellow: Think and Search
      • Red: Author and You
      • Blue: On My Own.
  3. Answer your questions in complete sentences.
