You will read two articles about recess.

One article supports unstructured recess time or free-play; while the other argues that recess should be structured or planned.

After reading both passages, answer the following question:

Should recess be structured or unstructured?

You will write an opinion essay using information from both passages to support your answer.

 

After reading the prompt several times, discuss with a partner what the prompt is asking you. If you don’t have a partner, write down what the prompt is asking you to do in your journal. Be sure to use your own words.
