W19D1 Reading
Introduction
Poetry is a type of writing in which the author uses figurative language, imagery, style, and rhythm to create meaning for the reader. Oftentimes, poetry makes the reader feel emotion(s). Readers should read a poem more than once to understand what the author intends the audience to understand. You will also need to understand some terms poets use.
In this lesson, you will begin to understand how to read poetry.
