Module 1 Introduction

Module 1

• In reading, you will learn about different genres or categories of stories and the elements of a story.
• In writing, you will learn to write your own narrative paragraphs. A narrative is written to describe, or it is a story with a beginning, middle, and end. To tell an interesting story or narrative, a writer will include dialogue, sensory details, and figurative language. You will learn these techniques to become a better writer.
• In Grammar, you will explore using commas.

Lessons are titled with the week, day, and subject.

Example:  Week 1, Day 1, Reading would be titled W1D1 Reading

Each day you will have two lessons: 

Units 1, 3, and 5:

1st lesson: Reading 

2nd lesson: Writing

 

Units 2, 4, and 6:

1st lesson: Reading

2nd lesson: Grammar
