Lesson 15 - Plant Classification Flip

Introduction

Today we will be completing a plant classification activity.

Materials

    • Paper and pencil
    • Chromebook/laptop/iPad for Flip

Assignment

      1. Take 5 to 7 minutes to come up with, and write down, as many plants as possible. Some examples are apple trees, pine trees, fern, grass, rice, corn, wheat, algae
      2. Come up with categories (no more than 3-4) that can be used to organize the plants. Think about their leaves, their shape, their height, etc.
      3. Record a video on Flip and discuss the plants you thought of and how you grouped them.
      4. Respond to two other students' Flip posts.
