Introduction

Today, we are going to learn about magnets. Ancient Greeks discovered that some rocks, known as lodestones, produced their own magnetic field. Today magnets are specially made.
Magnets come in many shapes and sizes and can be made from different types of materials but only metals can be magnetic.

   2. Write today’s learning objective on the first line.
   3. Explore the Module 9 - Lesson 1 presentation below. Today, we’ll learn about objects that attract and repel each other - sometimes on command!  We’ll be exploring a Google Slides presentation about magnets. It is a presentation that will help introduce you to the idea of magnetism and its properties and characteristics.
   4. Write down the important terms and their definitions and important diagrams (yellow boxes) in your Science Journal.
