Lesson 5 - Comparing permanent magnets vs. temporary magnets

Introduction

Magnets may be permanent or temporary. After being magnetized, a permanent magnet will always retain the properties of magnetism.
A temporary magnet is a magnet made that is usually easy to magnetize; however, temporary magnets use electricity to have their magnetic properties and magnetism stops when the electric current stops flowing.

In your Science Journal:

    1. Write down today’s Lesson Title at the top of your next Journal page.
    2. Write today’s learning objective on the first line.
    3. Explore the Module 9 - Lesson 5 presentation below. Today, we’ll learn about permanent magnets versus temporary magnets.  We’ll be exploring a Google Slides presentation about how they are similar and different.
    4. Write down the important terms and their definitions and important diagrams (yellow boxes) in your Science Journal.
