Lesson 2 - Gases
Introduction
Gases have particles that are much further apart in comparison to both solids and liquids. There is a lot of space between the particles. The particles collide with other particles and with the walls of the container. Because the particles can move easily, a gas will take the shape of the container that it is in. There is space between the particles. They can be compressed into a smaller volume when the gas is compressed.

In your Science Journal:
-
- Write down today’s Lesson Title at the top of your next Journal page.
- Write today’s learning objective on the first line.
- Explore the Module 7 - Lesson 2 presentation below. Today, we’ll learn about the least dense state of matter - gases. We’ll be exploring a Google Slides presentation. It is a presentation that will help introduce you to the idea of the gasses and their characteristics.
- Write down the important terms and their definitions and important diagrams (yellow boxes) in your Science Journal
