Lesson 13 - Constructive Forces - Mountains

Introduction

The processes for building new land are called constructive forces. Today, we will introduce the constructive landform - mountains. We will discuss how these landforms are created.

    3. Explore the Module 6 - Lesson 13 presentation below. Mountains are made when Earth's crust is pushed up in big folds or forced up or down in blocks. Mountains form over the course of millions of years. Mountains are constantly eroded by wind and water, which wears away their rocky surface.
    4. Write down the important terms and their definitions and important diagrams (yellow boxes) in your Science Journal.
