Lessons 22-23 - Classification Trading Cards

Introduction

To make sure that we have a fun way to study for the unit assessment in a few days, we are going to work for the next couple of days to create Classification Trading Cards and then review them with a sibling, parent, or friend.

Classification Trading Cards are a great way to review what we have learned about Classification.

Activity

You will make fourteen trading cards.  One for each of the following terms:

    • classification
    • vertebrates
    • species
    • kingdom
    • invertebrates
    • gymnosperm
    • angiosperm
    • xylem
    • phloem
    • birds
    • reptiles
    • amphibians
    • mammals
    • fish

For each trading card, you will:

    1. Fill in the definition of each term (look in your science journal for that information).
    2. Use the term in a sentence.
    3. Draw an illustration that represents the science term on the reverse side.

You’ll use these cards to review and better understand the terms from the lessons. Download and print the Classification Trading Cards.
