Lesson 10 - Vertebrates: Mammals

Introduction

Mammals have specific characteristics. They are covered with hair or fur. They are warm-blooded (meaning their internal body temperature is maintained at a constant level). They are born alive after developing inside their mother. After birth, the young are fed milk by their mother. Mammals have larger and more complex brains than any other group of animals.

You are a mammal!
