Lesson 4 - Invertebrates

Introduction

Today, we will continue to learn about the different types of invertebrates on Earth. Remember that you have a backbone, which lets your body stand up straight, protects your organs, and connects your other bones together. This makes you a vertebrate. But invertebrates do not have the support of bones, so their bodies are often more simple, soft, and small. They are also cold-blooded, which means their body temperature changes when the air or water around them changes. Invertebrates can be found flying, swimming, crawling, or floating in the environment and have very important roles in the health of our planet!

In your Science Journal:

    1. Write down today’s Lesson Title at the top of your next Journal page.
    2. Write today’s learning objective on the first line.
    3. Explore the Module 4 - Lesson 4 presentation below. Today, we’ll learn about a huge number of species that make up invertebrates.  We’ll be exploring a Google Slides presentation about the different types of invertebrates that exist. It is a presentation that will help you understand the characteristics of invertebrates.
    4. Write down the important terms and their definitions (yellow boxes) in your science journal.
