Lesson 17-18 - Microorganism Trading Cards

Introduction

To make sure that we have a fun way to study for the unit assessment in a few days, we are going to work for the next couple of days to create Microorganism Trading Cards and then review them with a sibling, parent, or friend. 

Microorganism Trading Cards are a great way to review what we have learned about microorganisms- specifically, examples of helpful and harmful microorganisms.

Activity

You will make nine trading cards.  One for each of the following terms:

    • microorganism
    • bacteria
    • antibiotic
    • fungi
    • yeast
    • Penicillin
    • virus
    • algae
    • Salmonella

For each trading card, you will:

    1. Fill in the definition of each term (look in your science journal for that information).
    2. Use the term in a sentence.
    3. Draw an illustration that represents the science term on the reverse side.
