Lesson 6 - Plant Cells
Introduction
Plant cells are some of the most important cells in nature. Plant cells do something that no other cells in any other living thing can do. They can turn light from the sun into energy that they can use to survive. That is called photosynthesis.
Other organisms, like animals and fungi, depend on the energy plants make for their own food.
Plant cells have all of the organelles that we discussed earlier. They have some specific organelles that are not found in animal cells. Over the next few days, we will learn about these specific organelles and what they do to help plants survive.

Directions:
-
- Grab your Science Journal and a pencil.
- Write today’s learning objective.
- Watch the Module 2 - Lesson 6 video below.
- Pause the video as often as you need.
Cell Models
Today you will interact with the cell presentation again. Look at the shape of the different organelles. Also, try to click on each organelle slide. Make sure to review each organelle.
