🟩Module 10 - W1 - Day 3 - ELA
Lesson Instructions
You will go through all lessons (grammar, reading, and writing).
GRAMMAR
Introduction
Today we will be reviewing the difference between simple and compound sentences.
Simple sentences must have one subject and one predicate. We've also learned that when a sentence has multiple subject and predicates with no punctuation, it is called a run-on sentence.
But how can we fix that?
We can fix it by adding a comma and a coordinating conjunction (for and nor but or yet so).

READING
Introduction
Hey reader! Today, we will review story elements by working with plot. The plot of the story is the events of the story. It answers the question: "What is happening?" It includes problems, or conflicts, that characters face. It will also include a solution to the problem.

Stop and Jot
In Your Notebook: Read for 20 minutes. Then think about the characters in your story. Write down the answers to the following questions:
What are the character's struggles or conflicts? Are they internal or external? How do you know?
WRITING
Introduction
This week, we will be reviewing our narrative writing components.
We will be writing a narrative piece where we change the point of view.
Check out the narrative writer's checklist to make sure the components are included in your text.
