Introduction

This week, we will be reviewing our narrative writing components. 

We will be writing a narrative piece where we finish the story. 

Check out the narrative writer's checklist to make sure the components are included in your text.

Be sure to:
• Develop a real or imagined experience.
• Include a situation and introduce a narrator and/or characters.
• Organize events in order.
o Use words and phrases to show the sequence of events.
• Use dialogue and/or descriptions of actions, thoughts, and feelings to:
o develop events.
o show how characters respond to situations.
• Include a conclusion.
• Use ideas and/or details from the passage(s).
• Check your work for correct usage, grammar, spelling, capitalization, and punctuation.

Prompt

Read the story called "Kofi's Music."

Then, write an ending to the narrative story that shows the lesson that being mischievous has consequences. 

To Do:

  • Reread Kofi's Music from yesterday
  • Write the ending of the story using the checklist from above
