In Your Notebook: During your reading of nonfiction this week, find words that are unfamiliar. How does the author help us understand what the word means? Create your own definition using the strategies listed above. Create your own chart like the one above. Can you find an example of all the IDEAS?
WRITING
Introduction
The best online research is found when we use websites and search engines that are credible. This means that they are going to give good information that does not try to convince us to think one way or another.
A lot of websites that are ".com" websites are not credible. To find the most factual information about a topic, try to find websites that have the following domains:
.org | organization |
.gov | government agency or sponsor |
.edu | educational |
