You will go through two lessons (one in grammar and one in reading).

Introduction

Last week, we learned about similes and metaphors. There are other types of figurative language as well!

You will be taking your quiz on similes and metaphors on Day 3 of this week. 

Figurative language - 
alliteration - the repetition of consonant sounds
assonance - the repetition of vowel sounds
metaphor - direct comparison without using like or as
simile - comparison using like or as
personification - giving something NOT human, human characteristics
onomatopoeia - sounds
hyperbole - large exaggeration
