Lesson Instructions

Introduction

The past few days we've focused on becoming experts at writing citations and dialogue.

Citations are when you give credit to the author of the work. Sometimes we use quotation marks. Sometimes we paraphrase. But either way, it is important to give credit to the original author to avoid plagiarism, or copying without permission.

Dialogue is when we are showing what characters are saying out loud.

To Do:

Whenever you are answering questions (whether writing or verbal), give citations to prove your point. It makes your answer and opinion strong!

Phone (2).png READING

Use parts of the question in your answer
Answer the question using your own words.
Use the author's words and "quotation marks" to prove your answer

Then, go to the Piano Discussion on the next page and write a race response to one of the questions given.
